Dr. Straffon received his DDS and a Masters of Science in Pediatric Dentistry from The University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He had a private practice as a pediatric dentist for 29 years as well as being a half time faculty member in the Dept. of Orthodontic/Pediatric Dentistry at The University of Michigan. In 1998, he went full time with the University as a Professor of Dentistry. Dr. Straffon has published over 50 scientific articles and has lectured nationally and internationally. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Straffon is the director of all the Pediatric Dental Clinics along with his teaching assignments with the residents and the pre doctoral program.
