Dr. Castro, a native of Venezuela, received her dental education from the Central University of Venezuela in Caracas, finishing in 1993. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1998. Currently she teaches in the Graduate and Undergraduate programs in our school and also works in private practice.

Dr. Castro received the Pediatric Dentistry Alumni Memorial Award of the Keneth Easlick Society in "Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry" and also received the "Graduate Student Research Award" from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry both in 1999.
