The University of Michigan Medical School employs more than 2000 staff members in professional, office, technical and bargained-for classifications. These staff groups represent a variety of cultures, skills and training in support of the Medical School's research, clinical and academic programs.

We are proud to be ranked as one
of the top ten medical schools in the country and we achieved this status, in part, through the collective efforts of our staff. We acknowledge their contributions during department appreciation activities, including the Dean's Annual Staff Recognition Picnic.
