SUMMER MEDICAL RESEARCH PROGRAM

Instructions for Abstract

1. The abstract must fit in the designated space and you must use Times New Roman and a font size of 10 or greater.

2. The following information should be included in the order as listed (see sample abstract):

   1. Title (in all capitals) using separate section headings

   2. Authors and Department (student should be listed as primary author)

   3. Study Objectives and/or Hypothesis

   4. Methods

   5. Results (may include data in a table, but do not use smaller than Font size of 10)

   6. Conclusion

3. Medical abbreviations can be used, but only after spelling out the entire term first.

4. If final results are still pending, the student should provide preliminary data or a description of what remains to be completed.
