Graduate Medical Education
The University of Michigan
Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs strive to prepare students from
diverse backgrounds for their chosen medical careers. The programs in GME
provide residents with the knowledge, skills and values that serve as the
basis for the highest quality clinical practice, lifelong learning, scholarly
research and community service. Educational sites for our GME programs include
the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers, affiliated hospitals,
and a broad variety of community-based clinical teaching sites. GME at the
University of Michigan has 23 accredited residencies and 47 accredited fellowships.
For information about a particular training program, the program should be contacted directly. The University of Michigan participates in the National Residency Matching Program.
