2002 Staff Member of the Year Award

Donna Eder, clinical department associate, Radiology

The Human Resources consultant for the Department of Radiology, Ms. Eder manages all the secretaries, the payroll team, and some of the administrative assistants within the Department.

She has been a dedicated leader throughout the 30 years that she has been in the Department, and is always readily able and willing to work through many issues. Her professionalism is emulated by the best of her staff. In response to a high turnover rate among radiologic technologists, Ms. Eder implemented training sessions to develop leaders and to improve the retention rate of staff.

The nomination review committee noted that people from a variety of different roles within the department lauded Ms. Eder. She is a trusted source who gives sound advice. She easily sees where gaps exist and is most often the person who implements processes to bridge these gaps. To quote one Medical School professor, "Donna is just an endless wealth of knowledge."

Ms. Eder's longevity, dedication and exceptional leadership make her a fitting recipient for the Staff Member of the Year Award.
