Benjie's nomination package stated that "Benjie is the ultimate role model for leadership within the Departartment of Dermatology. She obtained the highest respect from the frontline staff, junior administrators, resident physicians, staff physicians and the Chair of the Department. In nominating Benjie, one nominator noted that "Benjie has wisdom beyond her years in managing the numerous situations that cross her desk. She is always there to listen to any problem, no matter how small." And according to another nominator, "Benjie always offers unbiased insights and direction to achieve resolutions that are both equitable and appropriate to all parties involved. She is the most professional person I know. She is the perfect role model in the way she faces problems with ease and is not quick to blame people for mistakes." Another nominator states: "Benjie is so successful because she understands herself and those around her. She treats everyone with the same level of respect and kindness."
