M18-South
Blue Lottery Update
There have been numerous questions about the status of the
M18-South Blue Lottery program. This message will attempt to address these
issues.
Current lottery participants: Those employees who have been part of
the program for nearly two years will remain in the program through
Aug. 30, 2002. New red stickers will not be issued for members of
this group, but they may continue to use the lottery spaces through August.
The 50 lottery winners from the recent supplemental drawing will remain
in the program through June 30, 2003. Red stickers were mailed
to this group on June 20.
New summer drawing: In order to give other employees a chance to
particpate in this program, a new lottery drawing will take place in late
July. A separate announcement will give details on how to apply. However,
in order to minimize the quantity of new applications, we will automatically
include existing (original) lottery participants as well as anyone who
submitted an application for the supplemental drawing but was not chosen.
This means that if you are are among the group whose privileges end Aug.
30, or you submitted an application for the recent supplemental lottery,
you will not have to submit another application.
Construction
Ahead
The City of Ann Arbor will be undertaking a project to extend the existing
left turn lane on westbound Fuller Road approaching the Maiden Lane intersection.
Construction is expected to begin on, or about, June 24, 2002 and
continue for approximately four weeks. The existing left westbound through
lane and a portion of the left turn lane will be closed to traffic during
construction. However, vehicles will still be allowed to turn left from
Fuller Road onto E. Medical Center Drive with the signal. When complete,
the new left turn lane will have the capacity to store nearly twice the
number of vehicles as it currently does.
