Background: Originally known as News Service, then Information Services.

Summary: Correspondence, 1900-1903 and 1929-1959; press releases, newspaper clippings, and other papers concerning the activities and work of the University of Michigan; and photographs. Photographs comprise nine series of negatives, slides, and copy prints documenting all aspects of Univeristy of Michigan life and activities. "Photograph series E" comprises photographs of University of Michigan students, faculty, administrators, and staff; photos of campus buildings and views, and of university activities, such as commencements, athletic competitions, and visits of dignitaries; also views of hospital, laboratories, and various scientific and research projects.
